Serving at Kids Club
Kids Club could not happen without a faithful team of volunteers willing to invest in our kids' lives each week.
You do not have to be a teacher or have years of experience working with children. What matters most is that you love Jesus, care about kids, and are willing to show up, serve faithfully, and help make Kids Club a place where children are known, encouraged, and pointed to Christ.
One of the biggest things we ask of our volunteers is commitment on Wednesday nights.
Kids Club meets from September 16 through May 19, from 6:00–7:30 p.m.
We know everyone will occasionally need to miss a week, but consistency really matters. When you are there week after week, kids get to know you, trust you, and look forward to seeing you. Over time, you become more than just another adult in the room. You become part of the Christian community surrounding them.
Wednesday Night Schedule
5:00 p.m. – Optional Volunteer Hangout
If you’re able, come early and hang out with the rest of the Kids Club team before the night gets started. Bring your own dinner and enjoy some time together. There is no formal meeting or agenda. It is simply a chance to sit down, talk, laugh, and build relationships with the people you are serving alongside.
On the first Wednesday of each month, dinner is provided, so just come hungry!
6:00 p.m. – Opening
We begin the night together with announcements, singing, and a chance to get everyone settled and focused for the evening.
Catechism & Scripture Memory
Kids work on their New City Catechism questions and Scripture memory. Volunteers listen to kids recite, help them practice, encourage them, and celebrate their progress. You do not need to have all the answers memorized yourself. Your job is simply to help them keep learning.
Teaching & Small Groups
Biblical teaching is at the heart of Kids Club. Our teachers lead the lesson, while other volunteers help kids listen, participate, ask questions, and engage with what they are learning. Depending on where you serve, you may help with discussion, classroom management, activities, or simply being another caring adult in the room
Games
Games are a big part of the night and give kids a chance to move, laugh, compete, and build friendships. Volunteers help supervise, participate when needed, encourage good sportsmanship, and help keep things safe and fun.
Snacks
Snack gives everyone a short break and is another chance to spend time with the kids. Sometimes the best conversations happen in these simple moments

No matter what role you fill, your presence matters.
Some of the most meaningful ministry happens in small, ordinary moments: remembering a child’s name, asking about their week, listening to them recite a verse, encouraging them after a game, helping them understand something from the lesson, or simply being a dependable adult who is genuinely glad to see them.
Our goal is not simply to run a good Wednesday-night program. We want to come alongside parents and help children know God, love His Word, trust His promises, and set their hope in Him. Every volunteer plays a part in that, and we would love to have you serve with us.
